The OKs Pt 2

Today is going to be another ramble post, where I write whatever comes to me. It is Sunday night, and I am ready for bed. But I really am trying to post as many days as possible this month to create consistency. So, what does this week look like?

The BIG thing this week, aside from it still being Birthday Month, is that I’m meeting with an orthopedic surgeon on Wednesday. I’m definitely apprehensive about it. So far, I have been told that surgery isn’t a good idea, and to just continue with physical therapy. But I’m tired of waking up in pain. I’m tired of not being able to walk for more than 20 minutes at a time, and I’m tired of not being able to stand for more than an hour at a time. Even during church this morning, I had to sit during worship because my feet hurt. Not because of anything that I did this morning, but from the things that I did YESTERDAY! This isn’t a way to live, and someone has to be willing to address it beyond a band-aid.

We did go to church this morning. We went to the one on the ‘bad’ side of town. It was ok. I loved worship! But it was hard to worship because two women to my left talked through the whole experience, and a woman to my right was getting her groove on. I mean, I’m glad for her, but it is distracting. There was a guest speaker as well. He runs a non-profit called Feed the Children. I’m sure he was an excellent speaker 50 years ago, but it was a little bit like listening to Biden (if Biden were an actual Christ follower who actually cared about children). That’s actually not a fair comparison, because this man was one that I could actually have respect for. I could never respect Biden. Let’s Go Brandon.

The big thing in Birthday Month this week is my Birthday trip to TARGET! We very rarely go to Target. It just isn’t super convenient, and there are other options. We are BIG Dollar Tree, Aldi, and Walmart people. Oh! I wonder if I have Target appropriate attire! That might be a problem…anyway! I used my survey money to get Target gift cards, so I will only be spending ½ as much as it looks like I’m spending. Girl Math!

And then, of course, there will be the weekly Scooter’s coffee run and trip to the farmer’s market, along with the weekly meal prep session on Saturday morning. I have no idea what I’m making yet, but that is Thursday’s problem! Have a great week!
