Pretend it’s the 11th for a moment…
IT’S MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!! YAY!!!! I’m so excited! I had a lovely day! It started, as all good birthdays should start, with a large coffee, and a breakfast treat from Scooter’s coffee. I prefer Starbucks, but there isn’t one between our house, and Jerrad’s work. And I’m too tired to drive to one at 7am. I don’t know how adulted adults do it, but pass.
Unfortunately, because it was a Saturday, I still had a to do list to do. But the meal prep was easy, so it was a way less stressful Saturday than normal. I also went to the farmer’s market. There wasn’t a lot that excited me. I understand that local businesses have to up their prices a little bit, but $15.00 for a fresh bouquet of flowers is still crazy to me. I did find a cinnamon roll for Jerrad, and a Mother’s Day present for my mom. I won’t tell you what it is, just in case she reads this!
The afternoon was very chill. I had scheduled myself a birthday massage, and it was so nice. I really need to do massages more often. There are several nice places around where we live, so I need to find a regular place to go. Next weekend, I’m getting my eyebrows done at the same place I got my massage. I thought about doing both on the same weekend, but I didn’t want my eyebrows to be red on my birthday. So, next weekend will do.
Jerrad worked late, but when he finally got off, we went to dinner! Jerrad planned everything, and surprised me. We went to a place called The Catch. It is a seafood place. I had thought that it was a little fancy, but it was very Louisiana Bayou style-fried catfish and po’boys. It was delicious! Definitely one that needs to be added to our eating out list. Maybe we can replace Chick-fil-a with it…Anyway! After dinner, we went to BJ’s for dessert. They have something called a pizookie. It is a cookie cake with ice cream in the middle. Delicious! I got salted caramel. The cookie was warm, and the ice cream was perfect. And then we came home, and it was bedtime. It was a perfect 36th birthday!
Okay, you can stop pretending now. Today was a nice, relaxing, at home day. We did nothing. Usually, we go to the cemetery to see my in-loves, but it rained all day. So, we’ll go later this week. But it was a very relaxing weekend, and I feel ready for this week!
Also! I got a notification that I have a new subscriber! Welcome! I’m so excited to have you! In this place, we talk about life, birthdays, and pixie dust. On occasion, we fall through looking glasses and down rabbit holes. But mostly, we talk about living life to the fullest in the funnest ways possible.
