The closer I get to my actual birthday, the more depressed I feel. I love the excitement, and the anticipation, but around this time (two days before), I get sad because it feels like it is almost over. I love my birthday! I don’t want it to be over! I don’t want restaurants to stop sending me emails for free stuff. I don’t want my husband to stop spoiling me. I’m having a great time, and I do not want it to end! Who would??
Today was good. It started in my most favorite way. I slept in! Jerrad didn’t have to work, so there was no alarm clock going off at an ungodly hour. In case you don’t know, anything before 8:00am is ungodly. I was able to get up when I wanted, drink coffee slowly in my chair, and snuggle with my dog. It was beautiful. Unfortunately, beauty doesn’t last. Jerrad and I had errands to run all afternoon, so the busyness kicked in. But we were still able to enjoy it. I was early to physical therapy, and got to try a new coffee place. It ended up not being my vibes, but that is okay. I am glad I tried it.
Once Jerrad picked me up, we went to Walmart for clearance, and a few random things. I got a new mug for tea. It is a Minion! So cute! And, since we are down a dishwasher, we loaded up on paper plates and plastic silverware. The new dishwasher will come soon. It just isn’t the end of the world to live without one right now. A hundred years ago, people were still doing them by hand, so I think we will be okay for a bit. After Walmart, we went to our new obsession: the local health food store! We got a few random things, nothing super exciting. Jerrad likes their vegan cheese options and their dairy free doughnuts. We were supposed to go pick up his prescription, but we forgot. An adventure for tomorrow!
But the BEST thing that happened today was that my parents sent me a weighted blanket! Not JUST a weighted blanket, but a GREEN weighted blanket!!! If you know, you know. All of the best things are green, especially the best warm fuzzy things! And it is WAY past my bedtime, so I need to go test it out! Goodnight!
